Three years ago..

I was an unemployed depressed girl, who sat around all day watching TV and vacuuming the carpets none stop. Then my love got me Odin, a German shepherd who quickly became the love of my life. We spent every second together and were quite literally joined to the hip. He was my rock. It's hard to explain.. Nick worked fifty to sixty hours  a week so when i wasn't applying for jobs I was with Odin. Those were the best days.



One year ago today Odin passed away in my arms. It was the hardest most draining day of my life. Nothing prepares you for losing something that sudden. I can only hope someday we'll reunite and be joined to the hip once more.


I love you Odie boy. Daddy and I will always miss you.

A lazy ole Sunday

I spent the majority of yesterday snapping pictures of these two hams. 

and having an over the movie date with my love. Last night we watched Beauty and the Beast. 

It's nice having someone who is far away from you still putting effort into being close.

Also, my poor computer is slowly dying. Not sure why but it randomly turns itself off every few hours, so here's to hoping it lives a few more weeks until it can be replaced.

Desk inspiration

A little over a year ago Nick and I decided to move back into our parents houses. It was a tough decision especially since my mom lives an hour away from his parents, but we decided instead of both working crappy jobs we hate why not go to college. I love being in school knowing in around a year and a few months I will be doing what I want to.. but I never realized how hard it is living apart from my other half. Lately, I've been daydreaming about our future home together, and with my computer dying I've been really daydreaming about my future desk space.

I thought I would share some inspiration with all of you.

I'm especially in love with white furniture. I just love how simply and elegant it looks.

My Saturday,

1. Just me before dinner with the family. 2. My awesome new iPad case arrived today. 3. Chicken pasta. My weakness. 4. Came home just in time for a Big Bang Theory marathon and some chocolate covered raspberries.

I'd say today was a success.

My little man all drugged up to help his spine, but he still manages to beg for food.

Actually cooked tonight! It's pretty much a miracle. I've never been much of a cook. Baking I can do. It may not look pretty but it'll taste awesome, but cooking... not my thing. Luckily, my loves cooks awesomely and I took full advantage of that when we lived together. Except now I find myself missing his pastas, so tonight I decided to cook. Hah! and it actually tasted good. I changed it just a little to make it healthier and added some cherry tomatoes, but I'm quite pleased with myself. May even try to cook more often.. We shall see. 

(p.s. I obviously had to grab an iced coffee before attempting anything)

Morning Boredom

As school slowly starts ending (I have a year left, but I like tricking myself into thinking it will go by fast) I find myself looking at all the pretty home decor at Urban Outfitters. They have the cutest most clever things it's hard not spending hours planning out my entire house. 

So I thought I would share some things I found this morning with you all.
